Hi, I'm Rían, an Irish caricature artist who loves nothing more than making people laugh at their own faces.
The story behind the drawings
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before I ended up doing it for a living! I studied Animation and Illustration at TUS Athlone, but my love for caricatures started a bit closer to home, when my dad introduced me to them. I've been hooked ever since.
I love drawing, meeting new people and, most importantly, having a laugh along the way. I travel around Ireland doing what I love, whether it's the classic pen-and-paper style or drawing digitally on my iPad.
Every drawing is done by hand: no templates, no AI, just me, a pen (or Apple Pencil!) and a lot of laughs.
Pretty lucky to be able to call drawing my job!
